Taking part in our photo competition with a picture of your own involves the following rules:
This rule is determined by the copyright. This means that the person who took a picture is allowed to decide how it will be used. So if you have taken an amazing photo, nobody is permitted to claim it as their own. This also means that in line with this competition nobody is permitted to upload an image which was taken by you. Only the photographer, who is the "copyright holder" of the photo, is entitled to determine what the picture is allowed to be used for and where it can be found. If somebody allows you to use a certain photo, you better double check who took it.
This rule is determined by the right to one's own picture. This means that nobody is entitled to put a photo online in which you can be seen if you have not given prior consent. This also means that you always need to obtain the approval of anybody to be seen in the pictures you intend to put on display on the internet.
Please contemplate on what you intend to show in your picture. It should not be anything other people may be scared of or offended by. If we receive pictures like that, we are going to delete them right away and they are thus excluded from the competition. We would also like to ask you to not submit any pictures that are private to an extent where they should not be shown to strangers. We at Schleich would like to publish the most beautiful pictures on our web page and therefore pay very close attention to public appropriateness of the pictures submitted.
