Camargue horses are small, rugged horses from the Rhône Valley in France. There they are bred in a stud and reach a height of 1.35 m to 1.50 m. Camargue horses are born with a dark coat which becomes lighter and lighter as they age, finally becoming white upon reaching full growth. These days they are primarily used as work, pack or riding horses.
