Black Forest horses are draft horses that wear coats of chestnut. A few of their characteristics include standing between fourteen and fifteen hands, boasting very tough joints, and behaving gently. Historically employed to work in the forest and pull carriages, this breed is regaining popularity in riding. A perfect mount for big or small, Black Forest horses are also used in riding therapy.
