In the 1800s, King Wilhelm I, founder of the Agricultural University of Hohenheim, bred imported swine which became very popular and continued in success with Rudolf Bühler in the 1980s. Served in high class restaurants, Swabian-Hall swine has been prized for generations for its dedication to quality. Holding to tradition, this breed is still raised in the Schwäbisch Hall region of Germany.
