Quality and safety count

We are proud of all our figures, but especially of their quality and safety. And for us, quality begins right at the start.

We develop ideas for new products exclusively in house. In this process, we consider the results from our market research and children’s requests. New figures are designed with great attention to detail, so we take our time. Based on photographs, drawings or models in specialist books, our designers first create perfect, artistically crafted images. In doing so, they are free to work via traditional methods using wax or digitally on a computer. In the end, the only difference is the tools, but the principle is the same.

How long the modelling takes depends on the figure itself. A dog takes two weeks, while a horse, designed down to the smallest hair, takes three and a dinosaur takes up to eight weeks. Each hair and every fold of skin is applied individually, which takes a lot of patience. If the last model withstands all the tests, a prototype is made from synthetic resin. And here, at the latest, we involve specialists from museums or zoos. Only if the prototype meets the high requirements of these experts’ critical eye have we created a lifelike depiction of nature we can feel satisfied with.

Our quality guarantee also applies to the subsequent production. Each individual figure is examined and hand-painted step by step with great artistic skill. We consistently use only absolutely non-harmful raw materials and have them regularly checked and approved by independent laboratories. Even the material suppliers are continuously subjected to strict checks. This means that you buy products which meet all valid national and international requirements. These include the European Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC, DIN EN 71 and the international Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Toy Safety ASTM F963-2008.
